At Three Months

A three-month-old baby

  • Cries
  • Smiles at people, toys
  • Looks at people, toys
  • Makes eye contact
  • Briefly grasps object placed in her hand
  • Makes vowel-type sounds
  • Coos and gurgles
  • Startles in response to loud, sudden noise
  • Responds to speech by looking at the speaker’s face
