#Socialstory, #articulation and #comprehension – all in a morning’s #telepractice. #telehealth #SLPeeps #homeprogramme

Great morning’s work – video-meeting with a home programme team supporting a boy with ASD – screen-share helped us to jointly identify social communication targets.

Twinkl resources for ‘s’ articulation were fab for my next client – and the two-way video works so nicely for practising sounds and modelling articulation.

Finished off with a session focusing on comprehension of Why and Keeping to the Topic. Lovely interactive feature of the platform enables children to colour in, draw and stamp on documents!

So good to provide continuity for children with speech, language and communication needs while schools are shut.

Can’t you sleep, little bear?

Martin Waddell and Barbara Firth’s timeless children’s story is so helpful for teaching –

Two-word level phrases: BIG BEAR, LITTLE BEAR

Verbs: READING, SLEEPING

Nouns: CAVE, NIGHT, FIRE

Comparatives: BIG, BIGGER, BIGGEST

But best of all – what better way to spend ten minutes than to share a story?
